I need a time turner...

There just doesn't seem to be enough time in the day to do all the things that I want to do. I need a time turner, like Hermione had in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I need to be able to extend time so I can get it all in.

I'm not one of those people who can go on just 2 or 3 hours of sleep. I do have periods where I get so wound up that I don't sleep for days. But for the most part, I need at least 8 hours of sleep a night. (I never get it, but not for lack of trying!)

I work about 10 hours a day, throw in the swimming and I'm leaving the house at 4:45am and returning at 5:45pm. Then I'm so tired, that I can't get much done. I have a ton of books I want to read, movies I want to watch, I need knitting time ( I realized the other day that I haven't even touched my needles in over 6 months), I need time for my crafts (the wreaths, candle making and other things that I'm working on). Then there is time needed for cleaning, decluttering, cooking and gardening. Not to mention all the blog reading time. I could spend days just reading all the wonderful blogs out there.

I just feel overwhelmed!

So, my question to you, all three of you that read my blog :-), how do you get everything done? Do you have a schedule? Do you just work on one thing until it is done and then do something different?

Blessings,
~*~

I make sacrifices, which sucks. I tend to make the attempt to focus on one project at a time. But then somebody's diaper needs to be changed, needs to be fed, to be played with, cooked for, folded, put away, swept, mopped, watered, emailed, written to, paid, bought, read, or written.

When I'm faced with time to, I do the one thing. When that's done, I barely know what to do with myself! XD

I've FINALLY learned what can slide and what cannot. House cleaning? If it is up to health code standards, the I'm good with it. I do get all psychotic over it once a month so I tend to do all my "weekly" cleaning one day a month. Of course anything outright gross gets dealt with immediately.
Knitting? I FINALLY finished a scarf that took 6 months to make. 6 months for one stinkin' scarf. I now realize that no one is going to die if it doesn't get done. I usually knit while watching TV which brings me to the next part...Gods bless DVR. I have recorded a lot of stuff and on lazy, rainy, cranky days, I watch some of it. This way I still have my favs so I'm not tied to the tv on certain days/evenings, but now I don't have to rush to watch them either.

Ok, to end the long winded comment-do what YOU need/want to do. If you feel like knitting, the knit. If you feel like reading, then read. But I hope you always feel like being good to yourself.

I have the very same question! I'm like the gal who seems all disheveled and I'm standing next to other gals who seem to have it all together... Do they????? Do they really??? I doubt it! I feel for you that you have to work so much, I've known grown women to cry over it!~
