I try not to blog about my job. I try harder to keep from revealing too much information if/when I do talk about it. I'm going to stick to that right now. What I am going to say, is that I'm fed up. I am so sick and tired and frustrated and disgusted with our company. There are actually hundreds more adjectives I could use to describe how I feel right now, but they might be redundant. I think you get the point.
In December, I will have 10 years with this company. I will start getting longevity checks, I will get more sick days and vacation days. If I can stay for the next 20 years, I can retire at age 59 with full retirement benefits (including health insurance). This is all great stuff and wonderful reasons to tough it out.
I honestly think the job will kill me before I reach my 30 years.
I'm looking for a new job.
Wish me luck.
Blessings,

...phew...
So... tired...
4:15 comes awfully early in the morning. I started back swimming this week. I have been every day except Tuesday. I can't believe how much I missed it.
I've been very busy this week, hence the lack of posting. I've been working so much that when I get home I just do not have the energy to even look at a computer. That has been good for other things, like knitting.
I finished a red fun fur scarf for a co-worker. I'll get it to her today sometime. I haven't knit much else. I've also spent time on my spring cleaning. I am planning on doing a very thorough cleaning of my house, hoping to get rid of a lot of extraneous stuff. I've been working on plans for my business, designing the business cards and brochures and also coming up with name options. I've also got about a billion ideas just running through my head of things I want to make. I'm going to sit down and make a list later today.
This weekend I'm going to hang pictures and get some things done at the house. I'm getting a new fence, I already have a chain link, but I'm getting a privacy fence to protect me from the neighbors. The guy that is going to put it in is coming by this weekend to measure and give me an estimate. I'm also hoping to get more done on my secret project. :-)
Gotta get back to work...
more later...

The whirlwind continues...
Whew... I'm tired! It has been an unbelievably busy week. Work has been very crazy busy and I've been helping a friend do some painting which is taking a lot of time. I've missed writing here and reading the blogs. I've been so busy I haven't been able to really check the blogs out to see what is happening with everyone else.
It is hot here today. I'm hanging out inside, working on a spreadsheet and watching movies and basketball games. I've also got some laundry going. I'm supposed to go paint tonight and I spent over 6 hours yesterday painting. It's been kind of fun and is making me want to paint my house. I'll have to do some work to it before I can paint. Stuff like fixing the cracking ceilings and the walls. I want to restore, not renovate.
Anyway, on the knitting front I've been working on a basic fun fur scarf in pink for a birthday gift for a 10 year old. I just need to bind off and work in the ends and I'll be able to mail it to her. It's late, but I hope she'll like it and be able to think of me when she wears it. :-)
Work has been a little better this week. Had a talk with the teammates and explained how I felt. It was going better until late Thursday, when the same old stuff started happening again. Friday I was out with a migraine so I'll see what it is like on Monday.
I really don't have much else to talk about right now. Time to get caught up on the blog reading. :-)

Sunday ramblings...
He came home today. His glucose is up (way up) and he was stable so they sent him home. They lowered his insulin dose and I'm to check in with my regular vet tomorrow. He has been quiet today for the most part. I was looking back through the blog and realized that it has only been about 3 weeks since his last episode. He also had one in November. It seems they are coming a lot more frequently now. Sigh...

I slept about 3 hours last night and took a nap this afternoon for about an hour. I'm wiped out. I'm trying to stay awake through the UNC game. I don't think I'll swim in the morning. I need to get some sleep, it is going to be a busy day at work. I've become increasingly unhappy there. I had made up my mind to not let it get to me and to keep my temper and my thoughts about it to myself when I'm at work. It took 2 and 1/2 days to break that 'resolution'. On Friday I had a run in with a co-worker and I have now decided to seriously look for another job. I am going to look in the area of "the property" or at least no more than 30 minutes from there. All I need is a job within that area that pays equal to what I currently make, and I can buy the property.
So, I'm on a mission. Two missions really, one to find the job and the other to buy that property. Meanwhile, I have to keep my cool at work. I have to stop stressing over the things that I cannot change and just do my job to the best of my abilities. I also need to take time to do things for me. I have not knitted a single stitch since December 22nd. Knitting class starts back on Tuesday so I'll have at least 2 hours a week where I will be knitting. I want to do some other creative things. I want to work on my photography and I have several ideas rolling around in my head for craft projects. I need to make the time!
Well, I have rambled on enough for tonight. I just have to hang on for another 20 minutes or so until the end of the game, then I can go to sleep. zzzzz....

Brrr...
It is so cold! Today's high was 33 but felt like 21 with the wind chill. I love the cold, how the breathe freezes in your throat. The only thing missing is snow! A friend of my mum's who lives in Maine sent her photos of the snow that they have received. It is so beautiful!
Here it just remains cold...bitterly cold.
New Year's Day I woke to no Internet service. My modem had died a horrible death during the night and it was late yesterday before the cable company could send a service person. What a person they sent! :-) When I opened the door there was the most beautiful man standing there, and when he spoke, I swear I almost swooned! His name is Ian and he is British. I don't know why, but accents from the British Isles just tear me up. Scottish, Irish, English and especially Welsh, I just melt! Unfortunately the hottie cable guy is married. Figures!
It has been a short work week, but a busy one. One of my "wishes" for strength in my job and patience has been going well so far. I think it helps that there is only one more day.
Well, I don't have much else to share tonight.
Blessings,

Enough with the migraines...
I can't take it any more. I think my head is going to explode! Since my last post I have not been able to get rid of the migraine that started on Monday of this week. I ended up staying home on Tuesday and Wednesday although both days I had to take the beast to the vet. I went back to work on Thursday and am at work now. I really don't want to be here, but I don't have a choice. I just keep reminding myself that when I leave work next Friday I will have 11 total days off. :-)
I should hear back from the vet today about the beast's test results. The results came in yesterday but the doctor was off and no one there could tell me what they found. On Wednesday, they had me bring him back for second urine catch. It seems that the concentration levels are way too low. I'm not exactly sure what that means. She wanted to redo the test to make sure there wasn't an error in the testing and then we would talk about what it means and the options. I will say it didn't sound good.
Last night I was in bed at 7 and stayed there until 5:40 this morning. I wish I could say I slept all the way through, but I didn't. :-(
Well, I'd best get to work. Have a great day.
Blessings,

It's been a pretty good weekend here in Aryland. :-) Yesterday I spent some time with my Mum and Grandmother and then went to a baby shower for a friend of mine. I just love this friend and think the world of her. I was able to have a good visit with her and more friends in our little group as well as her children. They are all sweet as can be.
Today was another day with Mum and Grandmother. Grandmother was in a good mood today and not very down on herself. I am currently watching the Steelers play against the New Orleans Saints. Steelers are just rockin right now. I'm absolutely thrilled with them. They really look good today. I am worried about two injuries, but hopefully they will get better soon.
Oh, while at the baby shower I spoke with my friend that owns the shop that sells my wreaths and she said she needs more! YAY!! I'm so happy to hear that! I was worried that they weren't doing well. She says the mini wreaths are selling very well and I will be making many more of those.
On the knitting side of things, I had decided not do knit anything else until I started a class, but when my Grandmother saw my halloween scarf she just loved it. I offered to make her one and she said it was too much trouble, but I told her it was good practice for me. So, I'll be making one that is red and black stripes like the halloween scarf, but it will be much smaller than that one.
So, tomorrow is a work holiday for me and I had big plans to work around the house and yard tomorrow since it wouldn't be raining. However, I now will have to work at least part of the day tomorrow. I'm pretty ill about it, but I don't seem to have a choice. I have to have some computers ready to deliver first thing on Tuesday and I'd rather go in tomorrow and make sure they are ready to go, than take a chance on it taking too long to get them ready on Tuesday morning. I wouldn't be ill, if the people that need the computers hadn't waited until 5:15 on Friday afternoon to tell me. I think that is just tacky. But, what can ya do.
So, I'm going to sit here and watch the rest of the game and work on laundry some more. I usually don't watch Extreme Home Makeover because it is just too emotional for me, but tonight they are making over a 135 yr old home and I would love to see what they do. I just hope they don't tear it down and build something new. That would really piss me off if it was my house. Anywho, maybe I'll try to cast on for Grandmother's scarf. I don't know. I may just sit here and vegetate. :-)
GO STEELERS!

Scarf bonding...
Last night, while watching tv, I spent a good 2 and a half hours of quality bonding time with the never-ending halloween scarf. I was able to get several more sections knitted. Hopefully tonight, I can have another few hours of quality time with it. :-)
Maybe if I keep this up, I'll actually get it finished BEFORE halloween. Wow...wouldn't that be great? Heh...
It was SO cold this morning! I love it! I started to go by Starbucks and get a caramel apple cider on my way to work, but I need to save the $$ and I knew I was going out for lunch today. So, I skipped it. I was at work at 6:50 this morning and ended up having to sit in the car because there was no one else there and I couldn't get in the building. I was sitting in my car freezing (even with the heat on) wishing I had a caramel apple cider. Next time, I'm going to get the drink!
Alright, I'm off to get some work done. Looks to be a not too busy day.
